Hello, it's been a month since my last very brief post. I didn't have the energy to write a larger post. Feeling better. Oncologist switched my chemo from once a week for three weeks and one week off, to once a week for two weeks and one week off and t has made a big difference on the side effects, still, my appetite is not the same as it used to be, the neuropathy in my fingers is worsening. But at least I don't have the nausea I did the first cycle.

I also started radiation because of two tumors in the spine on vertebrae C3 and T4. At first they thought the tumors were pushing into the spinal cord but thankfully that's not the case. The only side effect I have from radiation is a cough and my throat feels like something is lodged in it all the time, hard to swallow.

Yesterday we went shopping and when we came out of the stores the sun was shining a lot and I think that caused my right arm to swell and get red. That's the arm where I have some lymphedema so that the heat might have irritated it.

I went to see an orthopedic surgeon last week and the x-ray show my right hip bone is pretty much gone from the cancer and the rod they put in my right femur two years ago is basically hanging unto nothing. It is painful to walk I can hardly put any weight on that leg so in September I may be having surgery to replace my hip and adjust the femur rod.

That's basically the summary of what's going on with me cancer wise. I feel optimistic some days and some days I am in the dumps. But it is all part of this roller coaster called cancer.

I am grateful to have my daughter's support and seeing my grandson's smile gives me a shot of energy. Focusing on the positive.

Until next time.
